What a great excuse to read fabulous, fun books with happy endings and then get together with friends to discuss them!

The first book, PROPHECY, in my paranormal romance series, THE DRAGONFLY CHRONICLES, was released in print and digital formats from The Wild Rose Press. Here are a few questions to get you started in your discussion.

1. The definition of telepathy is: communication between minds by some means other than sensory perception. Serena is telepathic because she can read people's minds. Would you want to be telepathic? What are the pros and cons?



2. The definition of clairvoyance is: having the power of seeing objects or actions beyond the range of natural vision. A clairvoyant is a person claiming to have the power to foretell future events. Would you want to be clairvoyant? What are the pros and cons?



3. Keenan was raised differently from his brother, Lachlan. What were the differences? Which brother had the better upbringing?



4. Keenan's parents did not show Keenan love. Why? What would you do if you thought that your child was going to die defending his family?



5. How had the prophecy hurt all three Maclean children: Keenan, Lachlan, and Elenor?



6. Serena has a number of "oddities". What are they? What are your "oddities"? What oddities does your spouse or partner have (that you are able to share : )?



7. What was Keenan's very first wish upon a star? If you were raised believing as Keenan, what would your wish have been?



8. There are still gypsies today. Is "wander lust" (defined: a strong, innate desire to rove or travel about.) inherited genetically or a learned behavior? Do you have wander lust?



9. Damin is Serena's gypsy suiter. How does he react once he understands her powers? What would you do if you found out that your spouse could read minds?



10. Did Lachlan decide to hide or to fight? Would you have done the same?



11. Did Keenan decide to remain with Serena or journey to Culloden? Would the reverse decision have made him the hero he is?



12. Is Drakkina helpful or harmful? Are her intentions good? What is her perception of love? Is it correct?



13. How would the Macleans' lives be different if there wasn't a prophecy? Would you want to know your future?



14. Keenan's life was ruled by the prophecy. What rules your life? What would you like to rule your life?

The initial idea for PROPHECY came to me while I attended a writer's conference (Moonlight and Magnolia in Atlanta) years ago. I was sitting at dinner in a room with 300 romance writers. There was a small candle burning on the table and the air conditioning (which was in full-out-freezing force) made the flame dance inside the glass globe around it. It looked like a woman's body undulating like a flame with an invisible (glass) force field around her - thus Serena was born. Keenan came from my memories of wandering through the heaviness of Culloden Moor when I visited. The air is thick with sadness and honor.

The idea for the entire series (THE DRAGONFLY CHRONICLES) came from my own anxious thinking about how I would save my children if I had magical powers. Where could I hide them so well that they wouldn't be found, even by demons? The idea of hiding them in time seemed perfect.And Drakkina - well she appeared one day in my musings as I was walking and thinking about the book. She starts off thinking that people can just be thrown together and made to love one another. That love is only good when used to manipulate people. Drakkina journeys throughout all the books in this series. Watch to see how her story unfolds.
